Senior Project Architect

Schmidt Hammer Lassen is growing with new Danish and international projects in the pipeline. To support our growth, we are looking for a creative and experienced Senior Project Architect with 10+ years of experience with library, civic, higher education, or cultural projects.

As our new Senior Project Architect, you are expected to execute projects of high architectural and technical quality in keeping with our award-winning design profile. We are a studio that is both design-driven and client-focused; a firm that produces extraordinary design and delivers with extraordinary efficiency. The ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally is an essential part of the success of our firm and of this role.

Your role as Senior Project Architect

As our new Senior Project Architect, you

• will bring solid experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups through all design phases, folding user needs and visions iteratively into the projects while maintaining conceptual clarity and design ambition.
• can translate project visions into architectural visions with excellent communication skills both visually and verbally. Fluency in Danish or one of the Scandinavian languages is a clear advantage.
• have well rounded collaborative skills and lead design processes externally and internally in a confident manner throughout all the phases of a project.
• have well rounded experience in all phases of a project with relevant technical knowledge.
• have a relevant masters or equivalent professional degree in architecture and +10 years of experience as a Project Architect working on Library, civic, higher education, and culture projects

Working at SHL

This is a full-time position working out of our studio in Copenhagen with some travel commitments. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with Danish legislation and the Collective Agreement for Architects.
